5x study spots

The new academic year has already been going on for a month and the exams will soon be around the corner. Have you already discovered the ideal study place in Tilburg? Maybe you did not know that there are many other places to study, besides the library or your study room. Always a place to study in the way that suits you best. Here is the ultimate guide to study places in Tilburg!

At your college/on campus

No matter which course you are taking, there are often more study spots nearby than expected. After your lecture, take an extra walk around the building to find the best spots.

In addition, there is a library on the university campus where you can reserve a computer, monitor or study spot to ensure you have a spot.

There are also several options for reserving group rooms where you can work quietly with a group on a project. Reserve these spots on time to be sure of a group space.

At a creative place

There are several places in Tilburg that are great places to study in addition to music, art or workshops. So if you need some inspiration or want to discover a new place, be sure to take a look here.

Weave by Boilrs Hub

Behind the large doors of 22 Fabriekstraat, Weave has created a beautiful place, a 'creative breeding ground' where all kinds of things happen. On Tuesday and Thursday 09:30 to 17:00 and on Friday from 09:30 to 14:00 you can come here to study, work or create.  The flex work and make places include healthy filter coffee, tea, water and a dose of friendliness. And completely free for students.

Besides studying, you can also work on your personal (talent) development; who are you, what do you like, how do you want to achieve this? During your study break you can also go shopping in the thriftshop, play a board game or get a listening ear.

Nachtzuster

At the Nachtzuster, you can pop open your laptop every Thursday between 10:00 and 17:00 and have a cup of coffee or (vegan) sausage roll or brownie. De nachtzuster is in the building of Stichting Ateliers Tilburg, with almost several 100 ateliers in it, so it is a space full of inspiration and coziness and is within walking distance of the center of Tilburg.

Stop by at Carre 50 with your laptop or book and be inspired by the creativity and talent within the building.

Lochal

Perhaps Tilburg's most beautiful place to study! This extraordinary building was named World Building of the Year in 2019 and in 2020 it was voted Best Library in the Netherlands. And there is always a place that suits your way of studying.

Spend a day working at a standing desk, consulting with for a group project, reading a stack of articles or just cramming hard for your exams, there is room for everything in the Lochal. If you want to be sure of a study spot, make a reservation through the website. You can also go there for a nice cup of coffee or tea and a nutritious lunch in between studies.

On the train

Normally the train might be just for traveling back home or a weekend getaway. But did you know that in the train you can also read and study well. In addition, you can find the best lunch spots in the Netherlands And this way you can visit all cities in the Netherlands while on the way just doing well for your studies.

Even if you take the train from Tilburg to Zwolle, after 2 hours of quiet reading, you can have lunch at the canals. Just keep in mind that the wifi is not always perfect and you can't charge your laptop on every train. But for textbooks and reading articles, the train is perfect!

At home

Finally, of course, you can always start studying at home. To make that a little more enjoyable, we have some tips.

Invest in a mouse, a keyboard or a monitor. This will allow you to sit better in front of your laptop and thus reduce back and arm pain. You can often buy these refurbished somewhere, saving you a lot of money!

It is also good to take enough breaks often enough to stay focused. For example, set an alarm clock every 25 minutes and then take a 5-minute break. During these breaks, get up or take a walk outside to continue working with more focus.

 Good luck with studying!
