Where's this? Green chillspots

Finally the weather is nice and we can fully enjoy the sun. Do you feel like studying, having a drink or chilling outside and do you want to go to a different place than the one you always go to? Interpolistuin

In the middle of the city behind concert stage 013 and, what's in a name, at Interpolis lies the Interpolistuin. A piece of green in the heart of the center. Every now and then an event takes place in this garden but it is also a nice place to study or read a book. Had enough of that? 20 meters further you will find the first terrace on the Korte Heuvel.

Leijpark

Near the center, just past the Piushaven lies the huge Leijpark. This park is a real green oasis in the city. It's a great place to run, but you can also relax with your friends. Bring a picnic blanket and a well-stocked cooler and chill out.

Koningshoeven, La Trappe

Okay, officially this location is just outside the city borders but because it is only a fifteen minute bike ride from the Piusplein, we find it worth mentioning. Because so close is the Trappist monastery where the official La Trappe beers are brewed. And how good is it to drink them there? At the location you will find a large terrace but also a nice lawn where you can enjoy your beer. Great place for a drink!

Moerenburg

Moerenburg has special natural values, some of which are of provincial and national importance. So if you are tired of the city and you need some peace and quiet and nature, it is really an idea to take a walk to Moerenburg. It is also a great place to run. Nature reserve Moerenburg is located on the southeast side of Tilburg and is a 10 minute bike ride from the center.

Wilhelminapark

The Wilhelminapark is one of the oldest parks in Tilburg. The city park in English landscape style was opened in 1898, in honor of Queen Wilhelmina's accession to the throne. Around the park you will find many fraternity- and student houses and not without reason. The location is central. Wilhelminapark is a great place to chill or have a drink!

Wandelbos

In the Wandelbos you can, as the name implies, take a good walk. The spacious park is located on the west side of Tilburg, close to the university campus. The park is full of benches in beautiful spots where you can study or read. Not the most vibrant place, but highly recommended if you are looking for some peace and quiet.

Oude Warande

The Oude Warande is located right behind the university campus. The park was created in 1712 and is one of the few intact star forests in the Netherlands. In the Wandelbos you can do some great sports but it is also a great place to chill, picnic, study, have a drink, you name it. You can bring your own stuff or get your drinks and snacks at restaurant Grotto, in the middle of the forest.

Kromhoutpark

The Kromhoutpark is located at a stone's throw from the center. You'll find a large lawn and you can sit by the water. This park is increasingly discovered by students because it is so centrally located and it is a great place to chill. So, bring a cloth, drinks and chill out!
