fraternity, year club, what?
You must have heard of a fraternity before, but what is it? Fraternities are smaller structures within a larger student association, in which a group of like-minded people know each other better. Members of fraternities come from different years of study; a fraternity therefore has a vertical structure. A year club has a horizontal structure and therefore only has members from the same year. Often you cannot just become a member of a dispute, but you have to be asked by the members of the fraternity, often followed by a number of introductory drinks. Then follows an initiation procedure, an aspirant time, then a dejuvenation and then the inauguration.
