Open Days: Choose your Study!

It's that time again! Time to broaden your horizon about your future. You are going to college. Then, it is important to make the right decision about your education. But how do you do that? How do you know for sure that you feel comfortable with the choice? You can never be completely sure, but you can be as prepared as possible for making that choice. After all, it's important. Open days allow you to orient yourself in the best possible way! Below you can read which open days exist and you can find the registration link!

STUDENT CITY TILBURG

In Tilburg there are two institutes of higher education (Fontys and Avans) and one university (Tilburg University). Depending on your level and preference for education, you can make the choice that suits you best! It is a very comfortable way to get acquainted with other students and professors, who are eager to help you with your study choice. Ideal! Make sure you read up on the studies on the websites of the educational institutions before you indicate your preference for the open day. This way you can be sure that you choose the right presentations. If it is convenient and if you feel comfortable with it, it is recommended to go to the campus. In that way you can feel a little of what 'campus life' is like. Below you can read everything about the open days:

PREPARATION

It is good to prepare yourself before you actually go to the open day. Here are some tips:

  • Take a look at the website of the educational institution. This will help you find out what studies are available and will give you a first impression of the study.
  • Ask friends and other acquaintances about their experiences with open days. Who knows, they may have had good experiences with the educational institutions.
  • Write down a number of questions you want to ask at the open day. No question is stupid and the other students and professors are there to answer your questions.

DISCOVER THE CITY

After attending the open day, it is absolutely recommended to take a look at the city. Tilburg is beautiful in its own way. It is a student city, which you can slowly discover and must experience. It is compact, however, you will definitely not get bored easily. Want a taste? Leo Alkemade would like to take you with him in the video below!
