Fractie Front

We are Group Front, founded in 2006 and the largest and nicest student party of Tilburg University(!!) with a distinctive vision aimed at the active student. Nowadays, just following your studies is not enough. Students are looking for ways to distinguish themselves from their fellow student. By adopting an active attitude, students create network channels for themselves and others. They dare to go that one step further. We believe that an active student life should be facilitated by offering flexible education. To reinforce this overarching philosophy, we focus on three pillars:

1. Internationalization

Tilburg University is increasingly internationally oriented. There are intensive exchanges of knowledge between students and lecturers. Foreign experience is becoming more and more important when applying for jobs, for both national and international students. Front therefore considers it of great importance that all students, both national and international, receive support in the context of internationalisation. A better integration of international students in Tilburg's student life and the possibility to take exams remotely is therefore high on Front's agenda. In addition, the municipality continues to encourage the provision of extra student housing. The international student is often central in this.

2. Digitalization

The facilities at Tilburg University are under pressure. Front believes that a large part of the solution to this pressure can be found in digitalizing education. Front is therefore working hard to ensure that Tilburg University grows along with the digitisation of processes, such as more video lectures and knowledge clips. Furthermore, we are committed to improving communication between the student and the university. Think of the live chat function on the university's website and the improvement of the existing apps Tilburg University uses.

3. Living Campus

Tilburg University has a unique campus and Front sees this as an extremely important place, because students spend a large part of their student time here. The campus should be set up in such a way that there is an optimal study climate where you can also relax. Front is committed to improving the campus experience by, for example, improving the catering facilities, expanding the sports centre and increasing the number of (outdoor) workplaces. Sustainability is of paramount importance to us and we find it very important that in the constantly changing campus sustainability is seen as a major factor.

Some of what Front has achieved for you in recent years:
- Expansion of the talent status
- The construction of a new hockey water field as part of the sports facilities
- Reduction of food waste on campus
- TilburgFietsen bicycle shop on campus
- Entrance gates to the university library
- More bicycle parking spaces
- More (outdoor) workplaces
- Live chat function with the university library and student desk.
- Research into the digitisation of the student pass
- Better campus navigation

Furthermore, there are still ongoing initiatives, such as a sustainability grant for associations affiliated with Tilburg University, the opening of the Mensa at weekends to relieve the pressure on other workplaces and more digital opportunities for students such as using Adobe.

Did you already know that next year there will be a new parking tower on campus? That there will be a new education building next to Cube? And that there will be new outdoor workplaces near building C? These are matters that we as students can decide together with the Executive Board.

Front has 5 seats on the university council, making it the largest student party of Tilburg University. By fully focusing on the active student and on the 3 pillars we give a clear signal to our supporters where our priorities lie. In addition to the 5 seats, we also have 3 directors who are responsible for the Employee Participation Association, where Front collects concrete data, organizes events, increases the visibility of Front, but above all does great things together, from a cup of coffee to a covered wagon cantus. Does a board year seem like something for you, or would you like to work on the progress of this university on an accessible basis through our participation association? Visit our office in building E.209 on campus for a free cup of coffee, or approach us via one of our socials, website, or give us a call!

Do you agree with us on the above, are you active in the student life of Tilburg? Then we need your vote! From 21 to 23 April the elections will take place and we need as many votes as possible to put our money where our mouth is and to be able to continue to support our ideals to the fullest.

Students. Vote. Front.
