The perfect picnic spot

This week the weather is going to be great. The sun is reappearing and the temperatures are up to 26 degrees. Can you give yourself a break while studying or working? This week we have a nice list of places in Tilburg where you can picnic and enjoy the weather.

Muzentuin

Behind the TilburgĀ TheaterĀ is a very cozy and beautiful garden. In spring and summer parties are often organized here, but now the courtyard garden is peaceful. An ideal place to enjoy the sun. Also, the garden has a good location, you cross the street and stand at the beginning of the shopping street. Get a nice sandwich at Bagels & Beans or a pizza at Happy Italy and eat your lunch in the garden. Sounds good!

City park (Stadspark) Oude Dijk

The Stadpark is located near the Oude Dijk. It is highly recommended if you like to be sporty. A lot of fitness group classes are organized at the moment and there is a Johan Cruijff soccer field. Talents from Tilburg such as Virgil Misidjan and Kemy Agustien kicked and still kick a ball here. This park is located just outside the center of Tilburg. Besides the fact that you can play sports here, you can also relax here.

Leijpark

Running, cycling, walking, it's all here. The Leijpark is very large and there is enough space for everyone. It is an excellent spot to picnic with bedspread and delicious drinks and snacks. You might recognize the Leijpark as a decoration of several festivals and the Top week. Every year various activities are organized here.

Wilhelminapark

Wilhelminapark is located in the middle of a residential area. Bring a rug and lie down along the waterfront. With the sound of the fountain, it looks like you're at a holiday destination. Besides the fact that you can chill out, you can also take a ball or beach ball with you. How often can you hit the ball with your roommate?

We will give you some last tips for a nice picnic:

  • Make fruit skewers to take with you, healthy and tasty!
  • Don't forget the cutlery.
  • Wraps always do well with everyone. Make some with herb cheese and salmon and some with carpaccio and truffle mayonnaise.
  • Do you have a cooler? Then take this one with you. It keeps the drinks cold in here and the food fresh.
  • Does the sun shine bright? Don't bring snacks that can melt like chocolate or cookies.
  • Did you buy some wine to take away? Then don't forget a bottle opener or corkscrew.
  • Always bring a chopping board and a good knife.

Enjoy the sun's rays this week! Make sure you abide at all times by the rules of the RIVM and the government concerning the coronavirus.
