Tilburg has a new annual festival, with "Beachy Festival" the well known legendary summer end party of the Tilburg city beach is back on the agenda. On Friday, September 24 to Sunday, September 26, City Beachy will receive a few thousand visitors per day spread over several areas. Well-known concepts such as Disco Snolly and Rewind Amsterdam are part of the line-up, "but we're also definitely going to come up with big names who may have gotten to know our spot before," hints Pim Litjens, one of the three organizers. "On Friday and Saturday we will offer a very varied program and on Sunday we will focus in particular on the house and techhouse lovers."
The idea for a festival on the future Smariuskade already arose in 2018, "but we are happy that after one and a half years of corona it is now finally time to party again. When we heard the news from Hugo de Jonge that festivals would be possible again from 30 June, we jumped in the air. This party can go on anyway at the end of September, without any restrictions!" The beach is already equipped with a stage, in the parking lot there will be a large mainstage and in addition there will be a large silent disco, terrace, secret area "and we can also finally use our beach tent inside without one-half meter rules."
The tickets will be on sale very soon, next Wednesday the pre-registration will start which will give you priority to buy tickets. "And yes, next week we will also announce when our beach will reopen. Just hang in there, we are going to have a great summer, I can feel it in my beach sand!" jokes Tim Frenken.
