Kraantje Pappie (Alex van der Zouwen) could have had a glittering career as a hair model but instead let it succeed in music. This not only to the relief of his mother, but also the rest of the Netherlands.
With his three-part album series Crane, the rapper/artist created a grand and distinct electronic sound, which resulted in a collection of gold and platinum hits like "Where's Crane?", "Party Tent", "Pumping" and "The Way". The album Crane III also achieved platinum status. The fourth and also platinum album DADDY, including hits like 'Lil Craney', 'Love In The Air' and 'Ik Heb Je Nodig', already accounted for more than 120 million streams.
Having filled 2023 with hit singles such as 'Backbone', 'Zin In De Zomer' and the Euro Vision EP with Bizzey (on which they jump into the burning commercial hole left by Nick & Simon with their break-up with their alter egos Sick and Nimon), 2024 is all about Crane's new upcoming solo album.
